Regular Season Round 59: Iwate Big Bulls - Gunma 55-73

Leader Gunma delivered the 37th victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (15-42) 73-55. It was a quality performance for American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) accounted for 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winning side. American center Donald Lawson (208-88, college: W.Michigan) came up with 10 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import power forward Nicchaeus Doaks (201-87, college: Chattanooga) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Iwate Big Bulls in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gunma maintains first place with 37-20 record. Iwate Big Bulls lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 42 games lost. Gunma will have a break next round. Iwate Big Bulls will play again at home against the league's leader Gunma (#1) and hope to win that game.
