Rather expected game when 5th ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (9-11) was defeated on the road by second ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (14-6) 107-97. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon outrebounded Lobos UAD Mazatlan 48-37 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Landon Atterberry (198-93, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Aspire Sports) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized American swingman Joseph Hutchingson (196-87, college: Lincoln, MO) contributed with 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Cliff Tucker (198-89, college: Maryland) answered with 26 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Shane Edwards (201-87, college: UALR) added 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Lobos UAD Mazatlan. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon maintains second place with 14-6 record having just three points less than leader Hermosillo. Defending champion Lobos UAD Mazatlan keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon's next round opponent will be league's leader Rayos de Hermosillo on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lobos UAD Mazatlan will play against Aguilas Doradas de Durango (#10) and hope to win that game.
