Fenerbahce coasted past Galatasaray in the semifinal opener. Fenerbahce made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Candace Parker (193-86, college: Tennessee) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Hungarian-American guard Allie Quigley (178-86, college: De Paul) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. American point guard Moriah Jefferson (170-94, college: Connecticut) answered with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Senegalese power forward Astou Traore (182-81, agency: ProDep Management) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Galatasaray. Galatasaray's coach Marina Maljkovic gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.
