Finals Game 1: Wasserburg - Keltern 78-66

Wasserburg knocked down Keltern for the opening victory in the championship series. The game was mostly controlled by TSV 1880 Wasserburg. Gruner Stern Keltern was better in third quarter 13-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when TSV 1880 Wasserburg won last quarter 22-12. They also forced 23 Gruner Stern Keltern turnovers. American point guard Sheylani Peddy (170-88, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 32 points for the winners and her fellow American import forward Rebecca Tobin (195-88, college: Arizona St.) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American power forward Kristi Mokube (188-93, college: George Mason) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Belgian Emmanuella Mayombo (170-92, agency: LBM Management) scored 17 points.
