Leader Contagem delivered the twelfth victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked Santos/Macapa (4-10) 85-63. They outrebounded Santos/Macapa 41-26 including 26 on the offensive glass. Contagem players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Santos/Macapa's players. The winners were led by power forward Wesley Sena (210-96) who scored that evening 20 points and 9 rebounds and guard Thiago Perez (191-82) supported him with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Contagem players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by forward Ricardo de-Azevedo (201-83) did not help to save the game for Santos/Macapa. Guard Luiz Nepomuceno (193-95) added 9 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Contagem (12-2) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Santos/Macapa lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Contagem's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Botafogo F.R. in Rio de Janeiro and it will be for sure the game of the week. Santos/Macapa will play against Blumenau and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
