Regular Season Round 60: Iwate Big Bulls - Gunma 59-79

Very predictable result when first ranked Gunma (38-20) rolled over on the road 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (15-43) 79-59 on Sunday. Gunma dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Iwate Big Bulls' 26 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Iwate Big Bulls were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Point guard Masashi Obuchi (182-83) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American center Donald Lawson (208-88, college: W.Michigan) replied with 8 points and 12 rebounds and guard Yusuke Kodera (182-84) added 15 points in the effort for Iwate Big Bulls.
