Regular Season Round 48: Echague - Hispano Am. 66-88

Date: May 1, 2017
The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Hispano Am.'s (20-33) road victory over 10th ranked Echague (8-44) 88-66 on Monday. The game without a history. Hispano Am. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American Larry OBannon (192-83, college: Louisville, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Alejandro Zilli (200-82) who added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Hispano Am. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Dominican guard Gelvis Solano (185-94, college: Merrimack, agency: Basket Management Solutions) with 18 points and American center Derrick Caracter (206-88, college: UTEP) scored 8 points and 12 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Hispano Am. maintains ninth position with 20-33 record. Echague lost ninth consecutive game. Echague at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth place with 44 games lost. Hispano Am. will face higher ranked Weber Bahia (#3) in Bahia Blanca in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Echague will play on the road against Atenas (#9) in Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
