Regular Season Round 48: Instituto - Weber Bahia 82-97
Date: May 1, 2017
Not a big story in a game in Cordoba where 5th ranked Instituto (29-25) was defeated by third ranked Weber Bahia (28-22) 97-82 on Monday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 56-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Weber Bahia forced 20 Instituto turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Lucio Redivo (183-94) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 6 assists and the former international Hernan Jasen (199-78) who added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Weber Bahia's coach Sebastian Ginobili used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American center Sam Clancy (202-80, college: USC, agency: DTMones) with 7 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and Italian Pablo Bertone (193-90, college: Florida Atlantic, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Loser Instituto keeps the fifth place with 25 games lost. Weber Bahia will face Hispano Am. (#9) in Rio Gallegos in the next round where they are favorite. Instituto will play at home against Echague (#10) and hope to win that game.
