Quarter-Finals Round 1: Vienna - Wels 80-64

Vienna prevailed against Wels to secure 1-0 lead. Raiffeisen Wels were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Vienna dominated on the defensive end, holding Raiffeisen Wels to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They made 19-of-19 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They outrebounded Raiffeisen Wels 39-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for the former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian Predrag Miletic (193-84) contributed with 24 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Four Vienna players scored in double figures. The former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) answered with 25 points and Slovenian forward Dejan Cigoja (205-88) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Raiffeisen Wels.
