Regular Season Round 22: Hermosillo - Obregon 112-98

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hermosillo. First ranked Rayos de Hermosillo faced their biggest opponent Halcones de Ciudad Obregon. Host Rayos de Hermosillo (17-4) defeated guests from Ciudad Obregon (14-7) 112-98. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Steve Monreal (180-86, college: CS Monterey) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 assists. American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Rayos de Hermosillo's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Glen Rice-Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and his fellow American import forward Landon Atterberry (198-93, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Aspire Sports) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Halcones de Ciudad Obregon. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Rayos de Hermosillo maintains first position with 17-4 record. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon at the other side keeps the second place with seven games lost. Rayos de Hermosillo will again play against league's second-placed Halcones de Ciudad Obregon at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon will have a break next round.
