The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (17-5) at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (15-7) 97-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rayos de Hermosillo. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon maintains second place with 15-7 record having just two points less than leader Hermosillo. Rayos de Hermosillo at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon are looking forward to face Garra Canera de Navolato (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rayos de Hermosillo will play against Tijuana Zonkeys (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
