Regular Season Round 60: Toyota Alvark - Tochigi Brex 76-79

The most exciting game of round 60 in the B League took place in Tokyo. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-best Toyota Alvark (42-16) to first ranked Tochigi Brex (45-13) 79-76 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Toyota Alvark. It was a good game for American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international swingman Takatoshi Furukawa (190-87) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Furukawa is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American point guard Diante Garrett (196-88, college: Iowa St.) replied with 28 points and 8 rebounds and international power forward Joji Takeuchi (207-85) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Toyota Alvark. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. Toyota Alvark's coach Takuma Ito rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tochigi Brex maintains first position with 45-13 record. Toyota Alvark at the other side keeps the second place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Chiba Jets. Tochigi Brex are looking forward to face Sendai 89ers (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Toyota Alvark will play against Akita Happinets (#5) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
