Very expected game when 10th ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (6-15) lost on the road to sixth ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (10-12) 102-93 on Wednesday. American players dominated also this game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Shane Edwards (201-87, college: UALR) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Cliff Tucker (198-89, college: Maryland) accounted for 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Forward Roscoe Smith (206-91, college: UNLV) came up with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Jordon Crawford (168, college: Bowling Green) added 16 points and 6 assists respectively for Aguilas Doradas de Durango in the defeat. Four Lobos UAD Mazatlan and five Aguilas Doradas de Durango players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Guasave. Newly promoted Aguilas Doradas de Durango stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Lobos UAD Mazatlan will meet Frayles de Guasave (#5) on the road in the next round. Aguilas Doradas de Durango will play against Caballeros de Culiacan (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
