Regular Season Round 30: Bnei Hertzeliyya - Maccabi Haifa 96-94

The most exciting game of round 30 in the Winner League took place in Hod Hasharon. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Maccabi Haifa (15-15) to fifth ranked Bnei Hasharon (17-13) 96-94 on Wednesday evening. Bnei Hasharon outrebounded Maccabi Haifa 43-29 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Maccabi Haifa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Orr Leumi (192-96) who led his team to a victory with 23 points. American power forward Darrell Williams (203-89, college: Tex.A&M-Comm., agency: BeoBasket) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Kevinn Pinkney (207-83, college: Nevada, agency: Pro Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized American point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) added 19 points in the effort for Maccabi Haifa. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Bnei Hasharon moved-up to fourth place. Maccabi Haifa at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 15 games lost. Bnei Hasharon are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Maccabi K/G (#12) in Kiryat Gat in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi Haifa will play at home against the league's leader Hapoel Eilat (#1) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
