Regular Season Round 60: Osaka Evessa - Shiga L-Stars 81-88

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Osaka Evessa (28-30) against sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (19-39) on Wednesday night. Host Osaka Evessa was defeated by Shiga L-Stars in a tough game in Osaka 81-88. Shiga L-Stars made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St.) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 25 points. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Shiga L-Stars have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 19-39 record. Osaka Evessa at the other side keeps the second place with 30 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will have a break next round. Osaka Evessa will play on the road against Ryukyu GK in Okinawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
