Regular Season Round 10: Stirling S. - Joondalup Wolves 87-103

Everything went according to plan in Perth where fourth ranked Wanneroo (7-1) won against 7th ranked Stirling S. (4-4) 103-87 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Wanneroo. Stirling S. was better in second period 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wanneroo looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Naturalized Greek guard Trian Iliadis (190-89, college: ODU) fired 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. The former international guard Reece Maxwell (186-90) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Jayden Coburn (191) produced 21 points and power forward Ashley Litterick (202) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Wanneroo and four Stirling S. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wanneroo maintains fourth position in League with 7-1 record. Loser Stirling S. dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. Wanneroo will face Suns (#12) in Kalamunda in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Stirling S. will play on the road against Lightning (#5) in North Lake and hope to win that game.
