An interesting game for Contagem (13-3) which played road game in Rio de Janeiro against second-best Botafogo F.R. (13-4). First ranked Contagem managed to get a 4-point victory 80-76. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Contagem forced 19 Botafogo F.R. turnovers. Strangely Botafogo F.R. outrebounded Contagem 53-27 including a 33-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Botafogo F.R. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
