Regular Season Round 31: Nantes - Vichy Clermont 72-68

Very predictable result when ninth ranked Nantes (16-15) beat at home 16th ranked JA Vichy (12-19) 72-68. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. JA Vichy was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. It was an exceptional evening for American Christopher McKnight (201-87, college: Akron, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Valentin Bigote (196-92) accounted for 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Power forward Charles-Henri Bronchard (200-82, agency: Court Side) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Dustin Ware (183-90, college: Georgia) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for JA Vichy in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Nantes. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Evreux and Blois. JA Vichy at the other side dropped to the fifteenth position with 19 games lost. Nantes' next round opponent will be STB Le Havre (#10) on the road. JA Vichy will play against Chorale de Roanne (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
