Regular Season Round 31: St Quentin - Le Havre 65-64

A very close game took place in Saint-Quentin between Saint-Quentin and STB Le Havre. Fourteenth ranked Saint-Quentin (13-18) got a very close home victory over higher ranked STB Le Havre (15-16). Saint-Quentin managed to escape with a 1-point win 65-64 on Friday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But STB Le Havre won fourth quarter 18-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for point guard Malela Mutuale (188-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. American center Ryan Rhoomes (203-92, college: Fordham) helped adding 10 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side Nigerian power forward Dinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: Inception Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) scored 16 points. Saint-Quentin moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Roanne. Loser STB Le Havre keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Rouen. Saint-Quentin will meet higher ranked Boulazac Basket (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. STB Le Havre will play against Nantes (#7) and hope to secure a win.
