Rather expected game when 10th ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (6-17) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (10-14) 96-92 on Saturday. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Forward DuVaughn Maxwell (201-91, college: Hampton) fired 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Chris Crawford (193-92, college: Memphis, agency: Babcock Sports) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Caballeros de Culiacan's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Jordon Crawford (168, college: Bowling Green) produced 26 points and forward Omar Richards (203-92, college: NW Christian) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Four Caballeros de Culiacan and five Aguilas Doradas de Durango players scored in double figures. Caballeros de Culiacan moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Los Mochis and Mazatlan. Aguilas Doradas de Durango lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Caballeros de Culiacan will meet league's second-placed Halcones de Ciudad Obregon on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aguilas Doradas de Durango will play against Tijuana Zonkeys (#3) and hope to secure a win.
