Not a big story in a game in Melbourne where 6th ranked Tigers (3-4) were defeated by first ranked Spectres (8-1) 102-88 on Saturday. Spectres dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Tigers' 40. Spectres had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. American center Dain Swetalla (206-86, college: Augustana, IL) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Simon Conn (206-83, college: Gardner-Webb) chipped in 25 points and 9 rebounds. Four Spectres players scored in double figures. Guard Tom Wilson (196-97, college: SMU) produced 32 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Ari Stewart (200-90, college: USC) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Spectres maintains first position in League with 8-1 record. Loser Tigers keep the sixth place with four games lost. Spectres will face league's second-placed Ballarat Miners in Wendouree in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tigers will play at home against NW Tasmania Thunder (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
