Very predictable result in Renova where first ranked Shimane Magic (50-9) smashed 6th ranked Kagoshima (7-52) 81-47 on Saturday. Shimane Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Jamaican-American power forward Ryan Reid (204-86, college: Florida St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Hayato Kantake (194-86) chipped in 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). At the losing side Canadian forward Bikramjit Gill (201-92, college: Ball St.) responded with 9 points and 6 rebounds and forward Ryuichiro Nakazono (190-78) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Shimane Magic have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 50-9 record. Kagoshima lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 52 games lost. Shimane Magic will have a break next round.
