Everything could happen in Adelaide at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Bearcats and 8th ranked Panthers had identical 1-4 record. But Panthers were not able to use a home court advantage and were rolled over by the opponent from Woodville 89-56 on Saturday night. Bearcats dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Panthers' 28. Bearcats forced 22 Panthers turnovers and outrebounded them 59-34 including a 28-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Ieva Nagy (177-91, college: Troy) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Sky Langenbrinck (-91) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Bearcats players scored in double figures. Teonna Campbell replied with a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 10 steals and Madeline Cunningham added 13 points in the effort for Panthers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bearcats (2-4) moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Panthers dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
