Regular Season Round 61: Bambitious Nara - Shinshu BW 89-78

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Shinshu BW (14-45) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Bambitious Nara (23-36) 89-78 on Saturday. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) stepped up and scored 22 points for the winners and Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Canadian center Chad Posthumus (211-91, college: Morehead St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and guard Kazuya Mitsui (190-94) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five Bambitious Nara and four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Bambitious Nara maintains fourth place with 23-36 record. Loser Shinshu BW keeps the sixth position with 45 games lost. Bambitious Nara will face again Shinshu BW (#6) in Nagano in the next round.
