Liga Endesa top team - Real Madrid (23-7) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Zaragoza (9-21) 98-78. The game was mostly controlled by Real Madrid. Zaragoza was better in second period 27-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Zaragoza 43-31 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American-Azerbaijani guard Jaycee Carroll (188-83) who scored 23 points. International Sergio Llull (190-87) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Real Madrid's coach Pablo Laso used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dutch center Henk Norel (213-87) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Marcos Knight (188-89, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: BeoBasket) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Real Madrid have an impressive 23-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 23-7 record.
