There was an upset in Morley where higher ranked Eagles (5-5) were defeated by fourteenth ranked Magic (1-7) 107-96 on Saturday. Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Eagles' players. American guard Will McNeill (185-90, college: Washburn) fired 16 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. The other American import forward Taylor Mullenax (200-86, college: St.Edward's) chipped in 23 points. Five Magic players scored in double figures. American center Kevin Davis (206-91, college: Cent.Washington) produced a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and swingman Drew Williamson (196-83, college: Metro St.) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Magic maintains fourteenth position in League with 1-7 record. Loser Eagles keep the sixth place with five games lost. Magic will face higher ranked Flames (#13) in Rockingham in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
