Regular Season Round 10: Gold Coast R. - Ipswich F. 95-103

There was no surprise in Gold Coast where bottom-ranked Rollers (0-2) were defeated by top-ranked Ipswich Force (2-0) 103-95 on Saturday. Ipswich Force made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Rollers outrebounded Ipswich Force 46-29 including 19 on the offensive glass. American forward Kyle Harvey (196-91, college: Williams Baptist) fired 29 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard James Legan (190-87, college: E.Carolina, agency: Court Side) chipped in 22 points. Harvey is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Ipswich Force's coach Mick Conlon used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Torrey Craig (198-90, college: USC Upstate) produced 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and swingman Dwayne Vale (193-85) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ipswich Force moved-up to third place in League. Loser Rollers still closes the standings with two games lost. Ipswich Force will face Rockhampton Rockets (#7) at home in the next round. Rollers will play against Maroochydore Clippers (#11) in Cotton Tree and hope to get finally their first victory.
