A very interesting game took place in East Burwood. It ended with only three-point home defeat of top-ranked Spectres (3-3) to third ranked Sydney Uni S. (3-3) 76-73 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was guard Tahlia Tupaea (174-97) who scored 25 points and 4 assists. Point guard Sarah Graham (163-89) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Sydney Uni S.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Marena Whittle (180-94, college: N.Dakota St.) produced 18 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Anita Brown (173, college: Akron) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Sydney Uni S. maintains third position in League with 3-3 record having just three point less than leader Brisbane S. Sydney Uni S. will have a break next round. Spectres will play at home against Ballarat Rush and hope to win that game.
