Regular Season Round 2: Obras Basket - Hindu 76-60

There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where Hindu (0-2) was defeated by Obras Basket (4-0) 76-60 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Obras Basket. Hindu was better in second period 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Sofia Castillo (175-88) who scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Ariel Edwards (190-92, college: Penn St., agency: ProDep Management) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Spanish swingman Irene Gari (185-94, college: Georgia Tech, agency: ProDep Management) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Aldana Duarte (162-96) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Hindu's coach S Acuna rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Obras Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Buenos Aires to the arena Berazategui.
