Quarter-Finals Round 3: Vienna - Wels 64-69

Wels upset Vienna on the road in the decider and advanced into the semifinal stage. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-15. But Vienna won second period 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Vienna 46-26 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international guard Kevin Payton (196-86, college: Minnesota) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. American guard DeJuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. Five Raiffeisen Wels players scored in double figures. American swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) answered with 23 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian Predrag Miletic (193-84) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Vienna.
