Regular Season Round 10: Kilsyth C. - Canberra G. 83-82

Seventh-ranked Canberra Gunners (0-7) made lots of trouble for third ranked Kilsyth Cobras (5-4) on Sunday. Kilsyth Cobras managed to secure only one-point victory 83-82. However their fans expected much easier game. Kilsyth Cobras dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Canberra Gunners' 28. Forward Chris Patton (208-91, college: Cal-Riverside) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Auryn MacMillan (204-87, college: Gardner-Webb) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Kilsyth Cobras players scored in double figures. Kilsyth Cobras' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American Roy Booker (191-84, college: SE Missouri St.) produced 35 points (!!!) and 5 assists and center Ben Allen (211-86, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Kilsyth Cobras maintains third position in League with 5-4 record having just three points less than leader Sydney Comets. Loser Canberra Gunners still closes the standings with seven games lost. Kilsyth Cobras will face Sabres (#5) in Cheltenham in the next round. Canberra Gunners will play at home against the league's second-placed Chargers and hope to get finally their first victory.
