No shocking result in a game in Seaford where fifth ranked Bandits (4-4) defeated 8th ranked Frankston Blues (1-7) 104-90 on Sunday. They outrebounded Frankston Blues 42-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Point guard Deba George (183-85) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American forward T.J. Robinson (203-89, college: Long Beach St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds. American forward Alex Francis (198-91, college: Bryant, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) produced 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and naturalized American swingman Bennie Lewis (203-87, college: Benedict) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Five Bandits and four Frankston Blues players scored in double figures. Frankston Blues' coach tested ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bandits maintains fifth position in League with 4-4 record. Loser Frankston Blues keep the eighth place with seven games lost. Bandits will face higher ranked Dandenong Rangers (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Frankston Blues will play against Geelong Supercats (#3) and hope to win that game.
