Semi-Finals Game 3: Steaua CSM - CSU Sibiu 81-79

Steaua held off CSU Sibiu to take 2-1 lead in the series. It looked good early as CSU Sibiu took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Steaua CSM had a 24-18 second period charge getting the lead and CSU Sibiu was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-81. Steaua CSM made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Lithuanian guard Marius Runkauskas (189-86, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 4 assists. American guard Morris Curry (181-87, college: Providence, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 15 points for the winners. The former international forward Bogdan Popescu (200-78, college: Alaska-Fairb.) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and American power forward Chris Cooper (205-90, college: ODU) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for CSU Sibiu. Five Steaua CSM and four CSU Sibiu players scored in double figures.
