Regular Season Round 32: Boulogne - St Chamond 60-72

Date: May 9, 2017
Bottom-ranked Saint Chamond managed to get a twelfth victory, breaking the two-game losing streak on Tuesday night. This time they won against seventeenth-ranked SO Maritime Boulogne in Boulogne-sur-Mer 72-60. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-60. Saint Chamond looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American power forward J.K. Edwards (202-82, college: UNLV) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists and Lithuanian point guard Eigirdas Zukauskas (203-92) supported him with 18 points. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by Cuban power forward Grismay Paumier (204-88) did not help to save the game for SO Maritime Boulogne. American power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) added 7 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. SO Maritime Boulogne's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Saint Chamond (12-20) moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Maurienne and Boulogne. Saint Chamond will meet at home higher ranked Poitiers (#7) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. SO Maritime Boulogne will play against Charleville-Mezieres (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
