Leader Rayos de Hermosillo delivered the twentieth victory on Wednesday night. This time they beat 9th ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (9-17) 90-86. Rayos de Hermosillo looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) helped adding 17 points and 9 rebounds. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and the other American import Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Five Rayos de Hermosillo and four Garra Canera de Navolato players scored in double figures. Garra Canera de Navolato's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Rayos de Hermosillo have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-5 record. Garra Canera de Navolato lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 17 games lost. Rayos de Hermosillo will meet at home Frayles de Guasave (#5) in the next round. Garra Canera de Navolato will play against Ostioneros de Guaymas (#4) and hope to secure a win.
