There was a small surprise when sixth ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (3-6) crushed 6th ranked Tigers (3-5) in Melbourne 107-65 on Saturday. They outrebounded Tigers 37-25 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Jeremiah Ingram (201-93, college: N.C.Central) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Daniel Sepokas (190-90, college: Lees-McRae) contributed with 29 points for the winners. James Todd answered with 11 points and 9 rebounds and guard Ben Dixon (184-93) added 13 points in the effort for Tigers. Five NW Tasmania Thunder and four Tigers players scored in double figures. NW Tasmania Thunder maintains sixth place in League with 3-6 record which they share with defeated Tigers. Loser Tigers keep the sixth position with five games lost. NW Tasmania Thunder will face higher ranked Dandenong Rangers (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
