Regular Season Round 11: Kalamunda E.S. - Joondalup Wolves 82-104

Date: May 13, 2017
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Wanneroo (8-1) crushed 13th ranked Suns (3-11) in Kalamunda 104-82 on Saturday. Wanneroo forced 19 Suns turnovers and outrebounded them 52-39 including 16 on the offensive glass. Suns were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Robert Huntington (203, college: Nova SE) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 7 rebounds. Filipino guard Sebestian Salinas (190-85) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) answered with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import guard Rob Brandenberg (188-92, college: VCU) added 15 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Suns. Five Wanneroo and four Suns players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wanneroo moved-up to third place in League. Loser Suns keep the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Wanneroo will face league's leader Tigers in Willetton in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Suns will play at home against Cougars (#9) and hope to win that game.
