Everything could happen in Wonthella at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Buccaneers and second-ranked Redbacks had identical 8-2 record. This time Buccaneers used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Northbridge 117-113 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in League. Buccaneers made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game. Buccaneers outrebounded Redbacks 46-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. Redbacks were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Dwayne Benjamin (201-93, college: Oregon) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds. Guard Jackson Hussey (190-92, college: Pikeville) contributed with a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. The former international forward Shawn Redhage (203-81, college: Arizona St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Benjamin Smith (192-89) added 29 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Redbacks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Redbacks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Buccaneers (9-2) moved-up to second place in League. Loser Redbacks dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Buccaneers will face Magic (#14) in Mandurah in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Redbacks will play on the road against Lightning (#5) in North Lake and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
