An interesting game took place in Charleville where 4th placed Charleville-Mezieres (19-14) was upset on its own court by seventeenth ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (13-20) 84-78 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Charleville-Mezieres. The guests trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-78. The best player for the winners was American power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) who scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Alexandre Moisy (175-95) chipped in 13 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Jordan Fouse (201-94, college: Green Bay, agency: Three Eye Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import Wilbert Brown (200-84, college: Niagara) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Charleville-Mezieres' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SO Maritime Boulogne will meet at home higher ranked Nantes (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
