Regular Season Round 33: St Quentin - Roanne 77-81

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Chorale de Roanne and 14th ranked Saint-Quentin had identical 13-19 record. But Saint-Quentin was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Roanne 81-77. It looked good early as Saint-Quentin took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. Then Chorale de Roanne had a 31-10 second period charge getting the lead and Saint-Quentin was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-81. Chorale de Roanne players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Arthur Rozenfeld (178-95) contributed with 23 points and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. Four Chorale de Roanne players scored in double figures. Swingman Pierre-Etienne Drouault (196-90) answered with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Ryan Rhoomes (203-92, college: Fordham) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Saint-Quentin. Saint-Quentin's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Chorale de Roanne (14-19) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Denain. Saint-Quentin at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. Chorale de Roanne's next round opponent will be Saint Chamond (#16) at home. Saint-Quentin will play against Lille Metropole where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
