There was no surprise when 11th ranked Sutherland Sharks (1-9) lost to third ranked Spiders (7-3) in Hornsby 64-72 on Saturday. Spiders outrebounded Sutherland Sharks 52-32 including a 38-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Daniel Moser orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. Joshua Chapman contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Robert Simonovski answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Daniel Richardson (192-75) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sutherland Sharks. Sutherland Sharks' coach tested twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Spiders moved-up to second place in League. Loser Sutherland Sharks keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. Spiders will face Maitland Mustangs (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sutherland Sharks will play against Hawks (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
