Very predictable result when second ranked Chargers (7-2) won against bottom-ranked Canberra Gunners (0-8) in Belconnen 91-77 on Saturday. Canberra Gunners were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized South Sudanese swingman Mathiang Muo (196-87, college: Charleston So.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Tom Garlepp (203-86, college: UCSB) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Chargers players scored in double figures. Guard Daniel Joyce (194-87) answered with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Iain Morison (206-95, college: St.Francis, IL) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Canberra Gunners. Chargers maintains second place in League with 7-2 record having just three points less than leader Sydney Comets. Loser Canberra Gunners still closes the standings with eight games lost.
