Eighth-ranked Andorra (16-16) made lots of trouble for first ranked Real Madrid (25-7) on Sunday. The visitors from Madrid managed to secure only two-point victory 88-86. However their fans expected much easier game. Andorra trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 23-9 run in the last quarter tied the game at the end of regular time, But then they lost eventually overtime period 9-11. Real Madrid made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Andorra outrebounded Real Madrid 53-37 including 18 on the offensive glass. Argentinian-Italian Andres Nocioni (203-79) fired 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Slovenian point guard Luka Doncic (201-99) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Georgian center Giorgi Shermadini (217-89) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and Serbian power forward Oliver Stevic (204-84, agency: BeoBasket) added 16 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Real Madrid have an impressive 25-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 25-7 record. Andorra at the other side keeps the eighth place with 16 games lost.
