Regular Season Round 11: Blumenau - Botafogo F.R. 75-66

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Botafogo F.R. (15-5) on the court of fourth ranked Blumenau on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Blumenau 75-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Botafogo F.R.. It was a great evening for American guard Deonta Stocks (185-88, college: W.Georgia) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 4 assists. Power forward Diego Silva (206-90) helped adding 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Blumenau players scored in double figures. Power forward Abner Moreira (206-89, college: Idaho St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and point guard David Brito (182-94) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blumenau (11-7) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Botafogo F.R. at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Blumenau are looking forward to face league's second-placed Contagem in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Botafogo F.R. will have a break next round.
