Regular Season Round 3: Berazategui - Obras Basket 60-65

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Buenos Aires: Obras Basket (#1) and Berazategui (#2). Berazategui was defeated at home 60-65 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Obras Basket forced 23 Berazategui turnovers. Strangely Berazategui outrebounded Obras Basket 41-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Ariel Edwards (190-92, college: Penn St., agency: ProDep Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. The former international guard Sofia Castillo (175-88) helped adding 10 points. Obras Basket's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was guard Macarena Durso (169-91) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Spanish point guard Ana Suarez (170-87, agency: ProDep Management) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
