Very important is a road loss of second ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (18-9) against tenth ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (9-17) on Tuesday night. Visiting Halcones de Ciudad Obregon was defeated by Aguilas Doradas de Durango in Durango 111-97. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Aguilas Doradas de Durango shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Aguilas Doradas de Durango shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and American point guard Jordon Crawford (168, college: Bowling Green) who added 21 points and 13 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Michael Glover (203-87, college: Iona) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and forward Idris Alvarado (196-91) scored 25 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Aguilas Doradas de Durango maintains tenth position with 9-17 record. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon at the other side keeps the second place with nine games lost. Aguilas Doradas de Durango will again play against league's second-placed Halcones de Ciudad Obregon at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon will have a break next round.
