Semi-Finals Game 3: Zalgiris - Neptunas 83-60

Zalgiris cruised past Neptunas in Kaunas to open 2-1 lead. The game without a history. Zalgiris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Zalgiris outrebounded Neptunas 38-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Neptunas was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international center Antanas Kavaliauskas (208-84, college: Texas A&M, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Paulius Jankunas (205-84) helped adding 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Zalgiris players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Mindaugas Girdziunas (188-89) with 14 points and American Daniel Ewing (191-83, college: Duke) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
