Regular Season Round 30: Los Mochis - Hermosillo 78-86

Leader Rayos de Hermosillo delivered the twenty second victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (12-17) 86-78. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-14. But Pioneros Los Mochis won third quarter 23-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for forward Jorge Camacho (203-89, college: E.Kentucky) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Anthlon Bell (190-93, college: Arkansas) contributed with 23 points for the winners. American guard Nick Murphy (193-88, college: Jacksonville St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 20 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import guard Jeff Early (190-88, college: S.Illinois) added 23 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Pioneros Los Mochis. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rayos de Hermosillo maintains first position with 22-6 record. Pioneros Los Mochis at the other side dropped to the seventh place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Navolato. Rayos de Hermosillo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pioneros Los Mochis will play again at home against the league's leader Rayos de Hermosillo (#1) and hope to get back on the winning track.
