Regular Season Round 30: Mazatlan - Navolato 79-86

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (13-16) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (12-17) 86-79. The game was dominated by American players. Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) supported him with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by forward Omar Thomas (196-82, college: UTEP) did not help to save the game for Lobos UAD Mazatlan. Point guard Peshon Howard (190-90, college: USC) added 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Garra Canera de Navolato have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Los Mochis. Defending champion Lobos UAD Mazatlan keeps the sixth position with 16 games lost. Garra Canera de Navolato will have a break next round.
