The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (22-7) on the court of seventh ranked Pioneros Los Mochis on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by Pioneros Los Mochis 93-92. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Nick Murphy (193-88, college: Jacksonville St.) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard Jeff Early (190-88, college: S.Illinois) contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jorge Camacho (203-89, college: E.Kentucky) answered with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) added 23 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rayos de Hermosillo. Four Pioneros Los Mochis and five Rayos de Hermosillo players scored in double figures. Pioneros Los Mochis maintains seventh place with 13-17 record. Rayos de Hermosillo at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. Pioneros Los Mochis are looking forward to face league's second-placed Halcones de Ciudad Obregon at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rayos de Hermosillo will play against Lobos UAD Mazatlan and is hoping to win this game.
